Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. Anne W. Burrell is the host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides simple techniques that anyone can master. Chef Burrell has worked at New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and landscape. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell, who grew up within New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. After obtaining an English and Communication degree in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the industry of restaurants by registering at The Culinary Institute of America. The student says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I loved every minute of it." I could not learn or do enough. After graduating at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and Chef Burrell took a full year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, and this has left an impact on her own perception of food. Burrell is a well-known ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps kids with disabilities. She is a frequent guest to speak at conferences and tours across the nation as part of her mentorship role. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne often says that she feels so lucky to be able to share my true passion in life with others.
